Colonic Critics

The future of health in America will require that people are free to cleanse their bodies as they have been doing so for THOUSANDS OF YEARS.  Pay attention if suddenly the media grabs hold of a single case where a person "was killed or injured" from a colonic.  Realize that at this very moment somebody just took a pill in America and keeled over dead from an adverse reaction.  And about ten others just now suffered from a drug reaction that impaired their health, function and happiness.

The basic rule of thumb is that once the media takes the lead on a story expect sensationalism.  Maybe that will change.  I hope so!

A dose of Healthy Discernment:  Consult your primary care provider before having a colonic. People with certain conditions, such as diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, severe hemorrhoids, blood vessel disease, congestive heart failure, heart disease, severe anemia, abdominal hernia, gastrointestinal cancer, recent colon surgery, and intestinal tumors should not have a colonic

Side effects of colonics may include nausea and fatigue after the session, which can last for several hours.  99 percent of the time side effects include "be"ing happier.

Do your own research: A great resource to check is the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT): phone - 210-366-2888 or website:
